Brighton head to Old Trafford on Saturday with a Spanish super kid vying to make his debut, but one star could be missing.

Evan Ferguson burst into the headlines as he truly arrived as a force in the league last time out.

A hat trick against Newcastle showcased the fact he is ready to be a regular in the Premier League.

However following this, the 18-year-old was unable to attend his international commitments with Ireland due to a knee injury.

The return to fitness is as of now unclear and it is safe to say he is a doubt for Saturday.

This will be a blow for Ferguson given he is a life-long United fan and the chance to play at Old Trafford is incredibly exciting.

His absence will also come as a blow to Brighton who would have been dying to see Ferguson back in action after such a brilliant performance last time out.

However in the potential absence of one star youngster, another could be set to make his debut.

Ansu Fati ready to make his debut

If Ferguson does miss out due to injury, Brighton will be thrilled to know they have a La Masia prodigy ready to go.

Arriving late in the window, Ansu Fati wasn’t ready in time to face Newcastle in the 3-1 win.

But now with a few weeks at the club he will be fit and firing to kick-start his Premier League career against Manchester United.

It won’t be an easy first run-out for Fati however, with United unbeaten at home since the Seagulls visited on the opening day of the 2022-23 season.

With Danny Welbeck also injured, this could see Fati by default the starting striker for Roberto De Zerbi.
