Evan Ferguson has long been likened to Harry Kane, and now the Irishman has spoke on the links.
Evan Ferguson burst to stardom last season for Brighton, scoring, assisting and looking the part at the age of just 18.
He has now made 31 appearances for the Seagulls following his move from his boyhood club in Ireland, Bohemian FC in January 2021.
He has also exploded onto the international stage, with six senior caps for Ireland which have been coupled by two goals already.
One of the best Irish talents in decades, and he is universally recognised as such, along with being among the Premier League’s most exciting young players.
His composure and brilliance on the ball along with his deadly finishing has drawn comparisons to the incredible Harry Kane.
Now, the talent youngster has revealed his thoughts on the comparisons.

Ferguson on Kane comparisons
Speaking in an interview with the BBC, Ferguson was asked if he understands and is aware of the comparisons between himself and an all-time great in Kane.
“I take little bits out of his game, and try to bring them into my game, so I can see why people would say that.” Ferguson began.
Continuing he admitted, “We are a little bit similar, but people are always trying to compare someone to another person aren’t they.”
The comparisons will be unavoidable for Ferguson if he continues with his excellent performances which are really performances which show him to be beyond his years.
A top quality player who we hope can kick on either further this season and become the undisputed leading striker for Brighton.
He could even fire Ireland to European Championship qualification if he steps it up, as they only sit three points away.
