De Zerbi contract situation

The Italian has a contract until June 2026, however his revolutionary results have led to suggestion he might be targeted by lots of clubs before then.

Brighton know all to well about losing a coach early, and could face that same risk this time with De Zerbi’s release clause.

£11.2 million is said to be the price required to steal De Zerbi from the south coast, not that he would move anyway.

This is according to Fabrizio Romano who has confirmed the release clause has a interesting stipulation.

This being that it can only be activated in the summer which avoids Brighton losing him mid-season.

However despite this, De Zerbi is believed to be 100% focussed on Brighton and there is no plans for him to leave.
