Micah Richards raves over Brighton player who is among leagues ‘best’, could be the ‘next one’

Brighton bounced back over the weekend as they battered Newcastle 3-0 at the Amex, as they bounced back from the West Ham defeat.

Roberto De Zerbi’s men were brought back down to earth last weekend when West Ham well defeated them.

The loss saw their 100% win record fall, and early mentions of being title challengers withdrew.

However, they have quickly bounced back to winning ways over a likely European football qualification rival, Newcastle.

The Seagulls looked a level above the Toon side, with an Evan Ferguson hat trick putting Eddie Howe’s side down.

However despite Ferguson clearly being the stand-out, Micah Richards sees one Brighton player as the next world class player to be on the south coast.

Richards raves about Estupinan

Richards speaking as a former full-back himself, is well suited to discuss players of the position.

He was talking about Brighton’s left-back on ‘The Rest Is Football‘ podcast along with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.

Raving about Brighton’s display, he pinpointed Pervis Estupinan as a player deserving of particular praise.

“I think Estupinan is the next one, I think he’s performing like one of the best full-backs in the league.”

A big call considering some of the huge talents which are currently in the squad at Brighton.

This however isn’t a surprise given the full-back is already making waves and was linked with a move to Liverpool last month.

Brighton seemingly are already aware of Estupinan’s obvious potential to be a world-class player, as they targeted a long-term successor over the summer in Valentin Barco.
