Moises Caicedo will join up with his Brighton and Hove Albion teammates ahead of the Premier League Summer Series tour taking place in the USA.
The 21-year-old is subject to significant interest from fellow Premier League side Chelsea, but their latest bid of £60 million was flat-out rejected, with the Seagulls holding out for £100 million.
However, according to Niazaar Kinsella, Caicedo is Mauricio Pochettino’s number-one target this window, with his side set to return with a new offer for the midfielder this week.
Caicedo is yet to return to pre-season training and is still in his home country of Ecuador, but he will arrive in the USA ahead of Brighton’s fixture against Chelsea on the 22nd of July.

What is Caicedo’s Brighton future?
It is no secret that Caicedo would like to leave Brighton this summer in order to further his career. He was subject to a £70 million bid from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal back in January and even handed in a transfer request to push for a move to North London.
As recently as last week, the midfielder once again reiterated his desire to leave the club to join Chelsea. Caicedo spoke to the Ecuadorian TV network TC Television stating that Chelsea are a “big and historic team” and an opportunity in which he “can’t say no to joining.”
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has already strengthened the midfield department with the signings of Mahmoud Dahoud on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund and the experienced James Milner from Liverpool.
Brighton fans will no doubt be thrilled with the news the Ecuadorian international is joining up with the club for their tour, but a move away from the Seagulls this window still seems highly likely.
