Fiorentina central defender Igor has agreed personal terms with Brighton and Hove Albion, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano states that the 25-year-old has accepted a proposal to join The Seagulls until 2027, but neither club have agreed on a fee with the Italian side holding out for around £15 million.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are in the market for a left-footed central defender after Chelsea loanee Levi Colwill returned to his parent club after a successful spell on the South Coast.
Brighton aren’t the only side who hold a strong interest in Igor, with fellow Premier League side Fulham also keen on bringing the Brazilian in to bolster their defensive ranks.

Who is Brighton target, Igor Julio?
Igor Julio dos Santos de Paulo, more commonly referred to as Igor, came through the academy at Red Bull Brasil before being sold to Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg for an undisclosed fee.
He only ever made two first-team appearances for RB Salzburg, with multiple loan spells to other Austrian sides such as Wolfsberger AC, before completing a permanent move to Serie A side SPAL in 2019.
The Brazilian only spent six months at the Italian side, before permanently joining his current club Fiorentina following a two-season long loan.
Ever since his move to Vincenzo Italiano’s side, he hasn’t looked back and helped the club reach the Europa Conference League Final, but narrowly lost 2-1 to West Ham United in Prague.
He is a very confident left-footed play-playing central defender and is someone who will fit straight into De Zerbi’s desired playing style of attractive, possession-based football.
