Among Brighton’s department of impressive talents, one of the best is Ireland’s prized gem Evan Ferguson.
Evan Ferguson’s stock in the last year has exploded, to the point he is probably the most coveted young forward in the world that isn’t named Erling Haaland.
Already showcasing immense finishing, link-up play and physicality at the age of just 18-years-old.
This has garnered interest from some of Englands biggest clubs, who have been linked with big money moves.
Despite that it is believed only an extraordinary offer will see Brighton sell given £100 million seems like a modest asking price.
It has now been reported though that there was an offer made in the summer, an offer which fell massively below asking price.

The laughable offer for Ferguson
It was according to Rob Dawson who wrote for ESPN regarding Manchester United’s transfer woes, and including a line which explained the laughable offer they submitted.
The journalist wrote: “A bid of £50m for 18-year-old Evan Ferguson was laughed off by Brighton.”
A bid which probably didn’t even reach half the asking price that Tony Bloom would have been expecting.
It is as always encouraging to hear that Brighton are holding strong and refusing to cave on negotiations.
Should Ferguson continue in the same vein of form he currently finds himself in, the asking price will without a doubt be a British record come the time the club decide to sell.
The only way is up for our talented striker, and we full expect him to end the season up there in the golden boot rankings with four goals already, 15 isn’t an unrealistic target.
