Brighton and Hove Albion forward Deniz Undav is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Bundesliga side Stuttgart.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano states that the 27-year-old forward is joining the German side on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Undav joined the Seagulls for £6 million from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in January 2022, before immediately rejoining the Belgian side on loan until the end of the season.
He scored eight goals in 30 appearances for Roberto De Zerbi’s side this season – but only started six of the 38 Premier League games.
The German scored three goals in the final five league games last season, including a sumptuous lob against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Despite this, the form of Danny Welbeck, Evan Ferguson and the arrival of Joao Pedro have seen the forward slip down Brighton’s pecking order.

A good move all round?
Undav has scored goals wherever he’s been as demonstrated by his tally of 35 goals in 51 games for Union SG.
However, he hasn’t hit the ground running and found life difficult on the South Coast.
By loaning the German out, it allows him to gain first-team football and hit the heights he achieved back in Belgium, whilst freeing up space and wages in the squad.
Speaking after Brighton’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United in the Summer Series, De Zerbi said, “Danny [Welbeck] is in fantastic physical condition. In the striker positions, I have three players.
“We will see what happens for Undav in the coming days in the transfer market, but Joao Pedro, Welbeck and [Evan] Ferguson are enough.”
Should Undav pick up form at Stuttgart, he can join the club permanently as stated by Romano but it is unknown how much the potential fee would be.
