Brighton are reportedly among the clubs displaying an interest in signing Manchester City starlet James McAtee.
The 20-year-old has been attracting interest from across England and beyond following his impressive displays for Sheffield United on loan last season.
According to Mail Online, Brighton are one of these clubs who are looking into the midfielder.
The report mentions Southampton, Wolves and Celtic are all also interested in the youngster.
This along with the Blades who are keen to bring him back after a successful year there.
Across Europe, Brighton could also face stiff competition with Real Sociedad and AZ Alkmaar both also keen on the talented young midfielder.
It is believed that McAtee could be keen on a move, with there being no doubt that Brighton would be the best option.

Would McAtee be a good signing?
McAtee showed last season that he is a really good player, however at a club like Manchester City, it is always going to be difficult for him to break through.
He has also accumulated three England under-21 caps, in a squad which is incredibly competitive to get into.
Lighting up the Championship last season, he made 37 appearances for Sheffield United becoming a real regular.
He also added goal contributions for the club, as they gained automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
Scoring nine and adding three assists, he was among United’s best players, and they will be keen to get him back if possible.
This made even more urgent as they have already lost two of their key players permanently, with Sander Berge on the verge of joining Burnley, and Iliman Ndiaye who left for £20m to Marseille.
He would definitely be a solid arrival to the Amex, in some ways a great replacement for Alexis MacAllister.
