Brighton are one of the best organised teams in the world when it comes to recruitment.
The recruitment team under Tony Bloom always seem to find the next big thing before anyone else.
And they also seem to never miss in their targets, with a flop rarely occurring.
So when the Seagulls are interested you can be sure that the player will end up top quality.
One player they didn’t sign during the summer however despite contact was Brazilian Marcos Leonardo.

Leonardo was close to Brighton
Marcos Leonardo is a player many have tipped as having top class potential, due to his talent which has been displayed in Brazil.
But according to PL Brasil, Brighton opted against the move, as they made a move for Leonardo, only to decide against the move and instead go for Joao Pedro instead.
Leonardo has also been linked with clubs like Manchester United which goes to show how highly regarded he is.
The 20-year-old has made 18 league appearances in 2023 for Santos, and has scored nine goals with two assists.
It is likely just a matter of time before Leonardo is snapped up by a top European club, something Brighton could rue if they miss out.
Joao Pedro has had a strong start to life at the Amex however, so we imagine Brighton are happy enough with their replacement.
