Brighton are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Amine Adli.
According to French outlet RMC Sport, Brighton are in a ‘rush’ to get the deal done before the transfer window closes on Friday. Manager Roberto De Zerbi is said to ‘greatly appreciate’ the player.
The Seagulls have held conversations with the Frenchman and his agent for more information on the move, and the player is said to be interested in making the move to the south coast.
However, there is a big stumbling block that could scupper the move, being that Leverkusen do not want to sell the player. It is claimed that they ‘aren’t going to let him go easily,’ following the departure of Moussa Diaby earlier this summer to Aston Villa for a fee of €50 million.
‘Nothing is decided’ as of yet, but Brighton will have to ‘pay the price’ to get Adli out of Germany.
Who is Amine Adli?

Amine Adli is a 23-year-old winger, who predominantly plays on the right hand side but can play in the key or through the middle just behind the striker.
He played 26 times in the Bundesliga last season, scoring five goals and getting three assists, starting 16.
He has been at Leverkusen since the summer of 2021, having joined from Toulouse in his home nation for a fee believed to be around €7.5 million.
Brighton have started to step up their pursuits in signing a winger after Julio Enciso picked up a knee injury which is set to keep him on the sidelines for the rest of the calendar year.
Brighton have been linked with Newell’s Old Boys winger and Argentina U20 international Brian Aguirre in recent days, so it will be interesting to see if they can get one in before the window shuts.
