Brighton and Hove Albion are said to be among the numerous clubs lining up to sign Chelsea’s talented midfielder, Conor Gallagher.
Brighton have already lost one star midfielder this season, with another being rumoured with a move away. Alexis Mac Allister joined Liverpool while Chelsea continue to chase Moises Caicedo in what would be a deal worth over £100million.
However, according to SussexWorld, Brighton hold a genuine interest in Chelsea and England star Gallagher. This interest could provide the two clubs a key breakthrough in the potential Caicedo deal which seems to have been struggling given the fee.

Chelsea could yet offer Gallagher as part of a deal for Caicedo which would still of course need to equal a £100m package. But taking some cash off in favour of giving Brighton Gallagher could please all sides especially as the window drags on.
Conor Gallagher is a good signing
Gallagher had a poor 2022-23 season for Chelsea however this isn’t a surprise given the entire club struggled. He featured 45 times across last season for Chelsea but has struggled to win many plaudits in that time.
He arrived back at Stamford Bridge following a mighty impressive spell at Crystal Palace in which he won the club’s Player of the Year award. But since then his performances have dipped.
He is a player Roberto Di Zerbi likely would consider a prospect he could improve. Given Gallagher clearly having talent he probably needs to find the correct environment to thrive within.
On the south coast, Gallagher would be given an important role and could return to his ‘extraordinary and outstanding’ form, likely with fellow Chelsea academy star Billy Gilmour next to him.
