Brighton seem finally set to imminently confirm the arrival of their Moises Caicedo replacement in 19-year-old Carlos Baleba.
Brighton are now very close to bringing Lille talent Carlos Baleba to the Amex.
It is a signing which should substantially strengthen the midfield which saw the Seagulls lose 3-1 convincingly to West Ham United.
The loss saw Brighton keep a staggering 78% of possession but failed to break down the Hammers who were incredible on the break.
The arrival of Baleba likely sees him become a key player almost immediately for Roberto De Zerbi in midfield, following the loss of two key players in the position this summer.

Brighton to sign Baleba
When we say that a deal is close for Baleba to joining Brighton, we mean very close.
This can be seen in the report by Mail Online which claims that the 19-year-old is due to complete a medical today after agreeing a five year deal.
It is expected he will complete the medical which began on Monday, today ahead of the official confirmation of the move.
It is a massive signing for Brighton after he previously had looked out of reach, now however a substantial strengthening in the midfield should boost Brighton when they look to bounce back on the weekend against Newcastle.
The impact he will have at Brighton
This season, Baleba has only featured once for Lille as he played against Nice in the 1-1 Ligue 1 draw.
Baleba even last season prior to speculation, was only a bit-part player for Lille, one who definitely will require some coaching to get the best from him.
He is a solid midfielder in all departments required to be a great number six in the league, but he definitely is one who will require time.
A signing for the future which is a move synonymous with the Seagulls these days.
But no doubt it is a brilliant move for the future and likely this season too if he adapts to the needs of De Zerbi quickly.
